Soft-IT Receives an ICT Award from ZIA
On 26 Nov 2013, under the theme "Developing Value Chains through Investment", the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology in conjunction with the Zimbabwe Investment Authority (ZIA) presented the Investor ICT Award Winners for the year 2013.
Prior to this prestigious event which was hosted at Rainbow Towers, Jacaranda, Harare, Soft-IT Consultants, among many other organisations nationwide, had responded to a press invitation to nomination for the ICT Winner Award of the year 2013.
The call for nominations advertised in local newspapers by the Zimbabwe Ministry of Information Technology Communication, Postal and Courrier Services was open to all interested and prospective candidates to be considered for the 2013 ICT Achievers Award.
Based on the Deliotte Adjudicators Auditors report recognising significant contribution in the development of the country through investment, a total of 60 (sixty) certificates were awarded on the ceremony.
Soft-IT excelled and received the 2nd runner-up ICT Certificate Award for the year 2013 under the Zimbabwe Investment Authority Licensed Projects.
More than 80 organisations including two hundred delegates attended the Achievers award ceremony which was chaired by the Zimbabwe Investment Authority Chief Executive Officer Mr Richard Mbaiwa and the Zimbabwe Investment Authority chairman, Mr Nigel M. K. Chanakira.
Among notable guests were the Minister of Finance and Economic Development , Hon. P. Chinamasa (MP), the COMESA Regional Investment Agency Chairman, Mr. Chalimba Phiri, the Permanent Secretary Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Mr. W. Manungo.
Representatives from several embassies were also awarded certificates for promoting investment in the country namely the Embassy of People Republic of China to Zimbabwe, Embassy of Republic of South Africa to Zimbabwe and Embassy of India to Zimbabwe.
